'I met Stephanie several years ago while she was working as a volunteer at the community center called ‘The Yellow Door.’ Gina matched us together and Stephanie came once a week to help me with my grocery since I had injured both my feet.
That’s how our relationship began and, to my deepest pleasure, it is still going on today.
At the time, during this difficult passage in my life, her presence helped me very much both physically and mentally. Her attentive listening, empathy, kindness, knowledge, and sensitivity made me forget that in age forty years separate us.
One day, talking to her brother Shawn about Stephanie’s beautiful and creative work with children of differing abilities as well as people at the end of their life, he replied spontaneously, ‘she’s a natural!’
All I can add is that I totally agree with him.'
